Melody had the good fortune of spending October 2010- February 2011 performing at the Greenbrier Resort's beautiful new casino in lovely West Virginia. While waltzing and singing in the casino nightly she was also featured in the holiday production of the CHRISTMAS CHEER CABARET in the Greenbrier's theater. Singing holiday favorites such as "Rockin' around the Christmas Tree", "Jingle Bell Rock", and "Santa Baby" it was a high energy and fun filled event.

Once the new year rolled around she was able to work with NY director Justin Cerne on the GREAT AMERICAN SONGBOOK SERIES. This production featured the music of composers Richard Rodgers, Lorenz Hart, and Jerome Kern. Some of her favorite numbers include "The Song is You", "A Fine Romance", and a medley arranged by NY composer Andrew Graham.

Melody is currently working in sunny California at the Great American Melodrama and Vaudeville. This spring and summer 2011 she will be working on three exciting productions and vaudevilles. The first is SOUP DU JOUR With a book by Todd Mueller and Hank Boland and music and lyrics by Gregg Opelka,
"Taking place in 1939, "Soup Du Jour" tells the story of star newspaper reporter Katharine Hawks, who has to write one last expose before transferring to England. ... Melody Goodell does a very good job as the reporter. She has a lovely singing voice and nice timing, and easily throws off Katharine Hepburn- like jibes throughout." -Brad Memberto- The Santa Maria Times May 8, 2011
Rehearsals will start soon for BUTCH CASSIDY AND THE SUNBURNT KID by Ben E. Millet. A western melodrama-parody filled with song, dance, and comedy. It's sure to be a rip-roarin' good time!

The last show of the summer season will be LOST AT SEA by H.J. Byron and Dion Boucicault. I classic 19th century melodrama complete with a villain, hero, heroine, and other comic characters.

‘Rocky Horror’ is worth the experience, The Gainesville Sun
"Poor Brad (Thaddeus Pearson) who starts out as the straight-shooting fiance of Janet, gradually loses his clothes and his dignity until he appears at the end dressed similarly to Frank 'N' Furter. Pearson and his counterpart, Melody Goodell (Janet), are excellent as the only sane people in this bunch of nuts." Read the Full Article
